This study set out to conduct a quantitative comparison between the environmental impacts of typical envelope components in low rise wood frame construction (heating climate), as well as a comparison between popular cladding products and alternative materials.
In order to focus on production and disposal, the analysis excludes extraction processes. For all systems under investigation, the cradle phase begins with raw materials at a production plant.
