Yonghwan Kim is a master’s candidate at Harvard University Graduate School of Design where his research aims to advance digital fabrication and computation in architecture. He aims to develop new algorithms and mechanisms for the robotic arm and 3D printing fabrication. He researches on developing smartphone apps and computer algorithms which can support the SmartCities concepts.

Before coming to GSD, he worked for U.C. Berkeley 3D printing architecture Lab and worked as a production specialist for Emerging Objects. He has interned at YUJIN INT’L ARCH. and JINSOO CHUNG ATELIER and SAMOO Architects & Engineers. He holds a Master of Architecture Degree from U.C. Berkeley and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kyungpook National University.
