This project is one of Harvard’s most substantial and robust collaboration between scientists from SEAS and WYSS and the GSD. The researchers develop dynamically changing material systems for interior and exterior building applications. The work depends heavily on physical experiments with a range of materials, complemented by computational simulations and other types of analysis. Output includes papers, patents, and exhibitions. The team is currently investigating industry collaborations.
