Webinar Series, 2015

In March 2015, HAPI hosted a series of six webinars on the connections between health and well-being and cities in light of rapid urbanization and an aging population worldwide. The webinars featured research conducted by experts from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (HGSD) and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH), and be broadcast globally.

The webinars focused on two main themes:

  • New tools for both evaluating places and making existing buildings, neighborhoods and cities healthier.
  • New analyses of existing places.

Healthy Future Cities: Scoping Conference

In June 2015, HAPI will convene a working conference on the impact of urbanization on health, focusing on China and comparing it to major urban development trends elsewhere in Asia. The conference will identify key research and practice gaps, and set the foundations for a future cities group at Harvard to work on integrating dimensions of health and place.
