He is interested in the relationship between the processes of urbanization, their impact on ecological and social systems and attempts (both institutionalized and self-managed) to mediate this relationship. Over the past year he has worked as a research assistant for the Rethinking Social Housing in Mexico [RESHIM] project with Diane Davis, with responsibilities including extensive field work in Cancun and Oaxaca. He has also worked on the elaboration of a strategic plan for the municipality of Caucaia, Brazil with the office of Fausto Nilo Arquitetos.
