He has oriented his career towards the practice and research of urban renewal processes in historic neighborhoods of medium-sized cities, the effects of social housing policy in Chile and other developing countries, and mixed-income housing policy. Silva received a dual Master in Urban Planning at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and Master in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2018.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Before graduate school, Silva oversaw the process of reconstruction of more than 22,000 houses as the Regional Secretary of Housing and Urban Development on the Sixth Region of Chile. Until 2012, he worked as an architect on the National Reconstruction Program after the earthquake of February 2010 in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development of the Government of Chile, where he participated in the creation and implementation of the Heritage Reconstruction Plan and led the implementation of 27 Urban Regeneration Plans in cities affected by the disaster.
