Professionally and academically he focuses on the role of Urban Design in promoting better governance, and the capacity of urban projects to bolster the formation of stronger social and institutional ties, as a foundation for social development.<\/p>\n<p>In Venezuela, Guerra worked in an arrange of Architecture and Urban Design projects oriented towards improving the living conditions of many of the most disadvantaged populations in Caracas. Between 2011 and 2014 he participated in the design and construction of a Sports Park in the largest self-built settlement in Venezuela, Petare.&nbsp; In addition to working with the private and public sector in multi-scale projects, he was involved in academia. He taught at the Simon Bolivar University and collaborated with the Venezuelan National Academy of Infrastructure and Habitat where he participated in the development of the National Urban Development Plan Guidelines.
