She graduated with a B.A. in architecture from Yale University, and is currently enrolled in the M.Arch I program at Harvard GSD.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before graduate school, Erez worked for Studio Gang Architects in New York City for a variety of projects, mainly civic and cultural, for Kengo Kuma Architects and Associates in Tokyo, Japan, and in construction management for Habitat for Humanity in San Francisco. She is particularly interested in issues around urban resiliency.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously a collegiate racer in road cycling and a lifelong bike enthusiast, Erez&#8217;s conception of space and landscape developed around her experiences of cycling routes and paths. She remains highly interested in both cycling and the construction of space through and around dynamic networks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a member of Harvard GSD&#8217;s Women in Design, Erez is part of the WiD Lineage Project, which records and collects audio interviews with female graduates of the GSD to create an oral history archive and podcast to create a multi-generational, interdisciplinary community around the stories that are shared.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a  class=\"pixcode  pixcode--btn  btn  btn--small  btn--gamma\" href=\"https:\/\/research.gsd.harvard.edu\/mci\/portfolio\/2017-fellows\" >Back to 2017 Fellows<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elif Erez was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey.
