He developed an interest in international relations and Latin American development during his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he concentrated in communication, international relations, and public policy and administration. Daniel worked in the non-profit sector for over four years, developing skills in curriculum development, social service coordination and planning, and political advocacy. While at the GSD he has worked as a Research Assistant at the Joint Center for Housing Studies, and is completing a fellowship at the FWE Consortium as an urban and regional planner, designing agricultural infrastructure corridors in the Eastern Mediterranean and co-authoring conference papers. His interests in urban planning are focused around infrastructure development, urban analytics, and multispecies cohabitation.
