Among the multiple thematic areas where visual representation and spatial documentation of interconnected urban vulnerabilities may be most needed, there is a special need for more materials that interrogate informality, property rights, land tenure, underground economies, housing scarcities, crime, insecurity, and other urban vulnerabilities. Work undertaken in collaboration with the <strong>Mexican Cities Initiative (MCI) <\/strong>will eventually form the basis for the production of a Spatial Atlas of Vulnerabilities in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area. In addition to the vulnerabilities listed above, the MCI is already making progress on the documentation of ecological challenges in urban areas, particularly those revolving around water rights, urban infrastructure, and resource distribution. These and other materials will be used to generate further research and hypothesis testing with respect to proposed interventions for more sustainable urbanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-query is-layout-flow wp-block-query-is-layout-flow\"><ul class=\"columns-3 wp-block-post-template is-layout-grid wp-container-core-post-template-is-layout-0fed8f92 wp-block-post-template-is-layout-grid\"><li class=\"wp-block-post post-3737 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-urbanvulnerabilities\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\" style=\"padding-top:30px;padding-right:30px;padding-bottom:30px;padding-left:30px\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-post-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/research.gsd.harvard.edu\/mci\/a-social-infrastructural-node-in-mexicos-city-eastern-periphery\/\" target=\"_self\" >A Social Infrastructural Node in Mexico\u2019s City Eastern Periphery<\/a><\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-post-excerpt\"><p class=\"wp-block-post-excerpt__excerpt\">\u2018MCI\u2019 has served as the point of departure, to acquire a new understanding of the complex urban metabolisms related to the 4th largest urban conglomeration in the world: Mexico City.
