Led and organized by MDes REBE students – Masa Ueta (’18), Yuanqi Sun (‘18), Wei Xiao (’19), Yifan Wang (‘19) and Young Jee Jang (’19), the 9th Annual Asia Trek of Harvard’s Asia Real Estate Association took place on Jan 8th -18th, 2018.  A diverse group of real estate students from Harvard, Kellogg, Wharton, etc. travelled to Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo and met with industry leaders of international companies ranging from Real Estate Private Equity to Development to Investment Brokerages. The students learned about emerging real estate trends and expanded their networking scope. Several MDes REBE students received part-time internship and full-time work opportunities through the engagement with international companies.

 

The international companies they visited include:

Hong Kong: BlackstoneKKR, Jones Lang LaSalleAngelo GordonGAW CapitalSwire PropertyOaktree Capital, AEW Capital, Blackstone, PAG (Pacific Alliance Group), and Hong Kong Land.

Shanghai: Morgan Stanley Capital, and CBRE.

Tokyo: Mitsubishi Jisho, Morgan Stanley, Goldman SachsAngelo Gordon, Mori Building and Mitsui Fudosan.
