EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) will award the 2017 Elisabeth B. Weintz Humanitarian Award to Nancy Lindborg, president of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), at a celebration and reception on Friday, April 7, 2017.
Additionally, the HHI selected Delia Wendel as the recipient of its Elisabeth B. Weintz Award for Humanitarianism faculty research grant. This is a research grant awarded to a faculty member whose work aligns closely with the recipient of the Elisabeth B. Weintz Humanitarian Award, which is bestowed annually upon a visionary public figure who has demonstrated superior leadership in a time of humanitarian crisis.
