Prize on Water Policy at the MIT Water Night 2016 challenge

We are happy to announce that Yannis Orfanos, research associate and Sang Cho, research assistant, representing the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure, won the 2nd prize at the MIT Water Night 2016 challenge on the Water Policy category.

The prize concerns the research on urban water system and green infrastructure through a data-driven approach that concluded to the development of a web tool. The scope of the tool is to provide information about the urban water system and the sustainable intervention opportunities that address climatic risks and contribute to the sustainability of our cities.

Congratulations to all the GSD students who contributed to the research: Spyridon AmpanavosXiaoran Du, Lezhi Li, and Yiying Yang.

We would also like to thank the Surdna Foundation for their support and the City of Chelsea for their kind collaboration.
