Zofnass Program research associates participate in the 7th Global Leadership in Infrastructure Forum in NYC

Cristina Contreras (ENV-SP) and Hatzav Yoffe (MLA 2013, ENV-SP), research associates at the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure, presented recent work from the 2014 Infrastructure 360 Awards at the 7th Global Leadership in Infrastructure Forum which took place on February 26-28, 2014 in New York City.

The research, sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), evaluated 12 large scale infrastructure projects from six countries across Latin America using the Envision Rating system. Dr. Andreas Georgoulias as the Principal Investigator from Harvard GSD, together with 13 GSD researchers worked on the 360 Awards during 2013. The research covered 6 types of infrastructure projects (highways, airports, energy transmission, hydropower plants, Wind and PV farms, in a total investment of over $5Bn. IDB Principal Infrastructure Specialist Ana Maria Vidaurre-Roche, member of the Sustainable Industry Advisory Board of the Zofnass Program, led the panel which addressed the challenges and potential of leading sustainable designs in global infrastructure.
