Nicky Rhodes is a designer, builder, and researcher who aims to equitably decarbonize the built environment by exploring connections between craft, technology, and collaborative practice. His work includes developing systems for upcycling carbon-sequestering agricultural waste as high-performing building materials, repurposing disused urban spaces as sites for creative production, and fostering community through design/build projects. Prior to pursuing his M.Arch at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Nicky was the president of the Lehigh Valley Natural Builders Guild in Northeast Pennsylvania, and received a degree in urban studies from Haverford College.
