New Forms of Urban Practice

Within an environment full of complexities, Mexico’s urban landscape has become a living laboratory and experimental space for innovating new forms of territorial practice. Investigations around the built form and its socio- spatial transformation are already producing creative design and practice mechanisms for producing better cities. The Mexican Cities Initiative is particularly interesting on finding and promoting novel forms of urban engagement that can influence both the built environment and urban processes. The projects presented here are some of those in which imagination has already understand the impact of design as a form of creating knowledge.
